Bojangles Scarf

A MOREHOUSE ORIGINAL PATTERN

Size: about 8" wide—
to desired length of scarf

Yarn:
About 450 yards of worsted weight yarn
in lots of different colors.
The sample shown was knit with
Morehouse Merino 3-Strand Yarn.

Needles: #9 or #10

Gauge:
About 4 stitches = 1 inch in garter stitch

Cast on 30 stitches.
Knit a stripe about 1” wide.

Change yarn color as follows: knit 10 stitches with old color, add new yarn color (leave a tail 1” or longer at beginning) and knit the next 10 stitches with both yarns, break off old color (leaving a tail about 1” or longer) and continue with new color until you are ready to switch yarn colors again.

Knit stripes all different widths:
from 2 rows to 24 rows.

When starting new yarn color, repeat procedure: knit 10 stitches with old yarn, knit 10 stitches with both yarns, break off old yarn and continue with new color. Trim yarn beginnings and ends to length you like.

Washing/blocking: soak scarf in warm water for a few minutes. Squeeze out as much water as possible (or roll scarf in towel and squeeze towel). Lay flat to dry.
