Yarn:
Worsted weight in 2 colors, 145 yards per color
(sample is knit with Morehouse Merino 3-Strand)
Needles:
Single-point #11
Gauge:
Not crucial
Pattern:
Knit 1 stitch / purl 1 stitch rib pattern
First half of scarf is in one color, second half in
second, contrasting color. Cast on 27 stitches
with first color. Start pattern:
Row 1 *knit 1 purl 1; rep from *
ending row with knit 1
Row 2 knit first 2 stitches, *purl 1 knit 1, from *
to last stitch, knit last stitch
Repeat these two rows until first skein is finished.
Switch to second skein and continue in pattern to
end of second skein. Bind off loosely. If you prefer
a slightly wider and shorter scarf, cast on 31 stitches
and follow pattern above.
