When my 6 year old son, Calvin, asked me to knit him a“green and white striped sweater,” I knew just the yarn to purchase.  I picked up four skeins of lovely Morehouse Farm 2 ply yarn at Vogue Knitting Live this past January and began designing a boxy fit sweater that he could throw on top of a base layer when the weather inevitably turned cold.  He loves his new sweater and I hope the little ones in your life do as well!   – Vanessa

6 months / 22.25″ chest circumference
12 months / 24.25″
2 years / 25.75″
4 years / 28″
6 years / 29.5″
8 years / 32.35″

Fit:  Boxy fit with 6″ of positive ease
Yarn:  Morehouse Merino 2-ply sport in 2 colors
Main color: 2, (2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5) skeins – 2 is set as the default below, so be sure to increase the quantity to purchase the correct amount for your size!
 Contrast color:  1 skein all sizes
Needles:  US size 4 circular and US size 5 circular, both in 16″ and 20″ to 32″ length.
The samples are shown in oatmeal and green valley, both with natural soft white stripes.

You’ll build your kit as you go, and the price is the sum of the components so bigger sizes will use more yarn and you’ll see the calculation based on that.
