We all know that there’s no substitute for being able to TOUCH the yarn and know how many of you enjoyed the shop at the fork in the road back in the day.
Right now, our small team on our small farm is rebuilding. We’re working hard to take good care of our flock of Merinos and bring you the yarn you love. That means our days are overfull, and we love every minute, but it doesn’t leave time for tours right now. (We’ve also got some close new neighbors whose privacy we need to respect, so we can’t accommodate order pick-ups at this time.)
So what’s a knitter to do?
We’re very pleased to offer you these opportunities to shop in person in 2019!
Vogue Knitting Live – January 25, 26, 27
Come visit us in Booth 106 on the 5th floor of the NY Marriott Marquis at Times Square at this unbelievable knitting convention. Classes, fashion shows, and marketplace galore!
Knit and unWINEd at Lost Acres Vineyard – Sundays (3/31, 4/7, 4/14, 4/28)
Back by popular demand, our spring series brings you four new projects and the opportunity to take lessons with Erin, a patient and determined teacher. Complete beginners are welcome – how else are you going to get started with a mindful hobby that’s good for you mind, body, and soul? Haven’t knit in a few (or a lot) of years? We’d love to reacquaint you.
Classes run from 12 pm – 1 pm and you’re welcome to stay for drop-in knitting from 1-2. Drop-in knitting is free to anyone working on a Morehouse project!
Morehouse Open Farm Day – October 18, 2019, 11 am to 6 pm
For one special day, we’ll open the farm to knitters who want to meet the sheep and shop in our studio. It’s small, it’s cozy, but it’s magical.
New York Sheep and Wool Festival – October 19 and 20
Also known as “Rhinebeck,” we remember how this event as the NY Bred Ewe Sale, when it was a sheep show with a few vendor booths. Today, it’s the largest sheep and wool festival in the Eastern US! Be prepared for lots and LOTS of enthusiastic knitters. If you prefer a slower pace, plan to come on Sunday. Both days, you’ll find us in the lower level (booth 14D for downstairs) of the horticultural building (22). Ask anyone – it’s THE place to be when we have real October weather!
