A big part of your practice knitting is about building muscle memory (not just the hands, remember the brain is a muscle too!) so you can do it without even having to think.
As you build this skill, though, there will be a few times it goes awry and you end up with more stitches, or holes, or something that doesn’t look quite right. Here are two videos to illustrate some common reasons why these extra stitches or holes happen. And once you know the WHY, you can be on the lookout for when these things happen – and stop them before they happen.
By the way – this is also a sneak peak at learning some techniques for when you actually DO what to increase the number of stitches, or create a hole for a lace pattern!
